Homebuyer Education
Classes are currently being held online. This course explains the steps in the home buying process and the key professionals who make up the home buying team. After completing this course participants are better prepared when selecting lenders and loan products. Topics covered include:
If you are ready to buy a home
Managing your money
Understanding credit
How to shop for a home
What the mortgage loan process is like and how to apply
What happens during the closing
How to maintain your home after you buy

“Announcement” Intro to Homebuying Course for NeighborWorks Week
On Friday, May 29, 2026 starting at 3:15 pm there will be an in-person Intro To Homebuying Course in the multipurpose room at EANDC Offices. We will have guest speaker Dr. Yvette Lester, LPCC and owner of Reality of HOPE Counseling and Educational Services discussing how to overcome the mental blocks to homeownership for first-time homebuyers. This will be a panel discussion featuring our Center for Homeownership Manager, Financial Literacy Counselor, and Resident Testimonial with food and a Q & A.
