I Promise apartments open house

Come learn about what we have to offer at our I PROMISE Apartments Open House. No RSVP required, just come on in and take a tour of our apartments that we have available. We currently only have 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bath available. There will be on-site staff to help you with any questions on the application process. We will also have our financial literacy counselor available with with any questions you may have on managing your money when renting. If you have any additional questions about income eligibility or vouchers, please contact our leasing coordinator at mharrison@eandc.org or by phone at (234) 208-8293.

The 51st Annual East Akron Labor Day Parade 2026

We are now accepting Marching Group Applications and Elected Official Applications for the 51st East Akron Labor Day Parade!

All applications that are filled out online must be downloaded and emailed to info@eandc.org If you need a physical copy you can download it online or pick up an application at our offices located on 550 S. Arlington Street, Akron, Ohio. All physical copies can be returned to our offices during office hours only. Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

On June 12, 2026, we will be partnering with McGregor PACE to have a Spring Senior Health and Wellness Fair at McGregor PACE’s Day Center located in Akron. An event filled with educational resources for seniors, giveaways, music, free food, and refreshments. .

An annual event that celebrates the collective impact of the network mobilizing volunteers, business partners, and civic leaders who share in the NeighborWorks mission to create opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, build financial stability, and strengthen communities.

Middlebury Festival for NeighborWorks Week 2025 located at Dave’s Supermarket

Let’s celebrate the impact of creating homes and building America. together! This year we will be celebrating and bringing the community together for a day of creativity, connection, and neighborhood pride on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Minson Plaza.

We will also be having an additional day of celebration doing a neighborhood clean up and planting effort on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, We will be meeting at EANDC located on 550 S. Arlington Street, Akron, OH. Both Free and Fun events for ALL AGES!

Financial Empowerment Mobile Bus With Fifth Third Bank

We are excited to partner with Fifth Third bank to bring there E-Bus, also known as the Financial Empowerment Mobile to West Akron. The bus will feature experts from Fifth Third Bank to provide assistance with opening a checking account, down payment assistance, rental resources, workforce development and so much more. We will be bringing experts from our Center for Homeownership team and Energy Services to assist with any questions you may have about any of our programs. Summa Health will also be in attendance providing healthcare resources.

It will be at our senior apartments building Village at New Seasons parking lot. It is located on 1495 S. Hawkins Ave, Akron, Ohio. It is a free event from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Every year at EANDC we work with members of the community to take care of our planet on Earth Day. Last year, we cleaned up our community gardens in the Akron area to prepare them for planting in May. This year we will be doing an East Akron neighborhood clean up in select locations. We will be meeting at our offices located on 550 S. Arlington Street in Akron. We will be picking up trash along S. Arlington Street into 5th Avenue, Chiteenden Street, then Mckinley Avenue. We will finish cleaning at our Chittenden and Mckinley Community Garden.
