EANDC 2025 Annual Meeting
EANDC’s 2025 Annual Meeting brought together community partners, supporters, and local leaders to celebrate another year of progress under the theme “Keeping Dreams Alive.” The event highlighted how collaboration continues to strengthen Akron’s neighborhoods and expand access to safe, affordable housing.
Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge and Akron Mayor Shammas Malik joined the evening, underscoring the importance of partnerships and shared commitment to housing equity and community development. Guests reflected on milestones from 2024 — including the preservation of affordable housing, the prevention of a local food desert through partnership with Dave’s Market, and continued investment in organizational leadership and neighborhood growth.
The celebration also recognized key partners and sponsors whose support makes this work possible including:
CFBank (Community Champion/Titled Sponsor), WesBanco (Neighborhood Builder), Huntington Bank and SeibertKeck Insurance Partners (Family Supporters), and Knight Restoration. The evening also recognized the LeBron James Family Foundation as this year’s Appleton Award for Urban Leadership recipient and our Spotlight Partner Myers Appliance for their ongoing support and dedication to EANDC’s mission.
The evening captured what EANDC stands for, partnership, progress, and the shared belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.
